INSTITUTIONAL PAROLE SERVICES

JAIL REVIEW SECTION
Formerly under Pretrial Release Services, Section functions merged in October 1996 with Classification to form Jail Review and Classification under Baltimore City Detention Center.

MARYLAND PENITENTIARY
Under the Division of Correction, renamed Metropolitan Transition Center in February 1998.

STATE FIRE MARSHALL
Effective July 1, 1997, transferred to Department of State Police (Chapter 352, Acts of 1997).

VEHICLE THEFT PREVENTION COUNCIL
Effective July 1, 1997, transferred to Department of State Police (Chapter 434, Acts of 1997).
