Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1965. Served in U.S. Naval Reserve, Judge Advocate General's Corps (active duty, 1966-69; reserve, 1969-93). Member, American Bar Association (chair, veterans administration law section); Maryland State Bar Association; Washington County Bar Association (president, 1989); Judge Advocates Association; Naval Reserve Lawyers Association. Director, Washington County Help Line. Member, Hagerstown Civil War Round Table (president, 1996).
