Served with U.S. Army in South Pacific during World War II. Member, Fifth District, Fifteenth District, Riverside, Bird River, Norris, Deep Creek and East End Democratic Clubs. Member, American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW); Hawks; Federation of Independent Business Men. Married; six children, fourteen grandchildren.
