Research fellow in domestic micro-enterprise development for U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy, 1997. Recipient, President H. C. Byrd Award, University of Maryland College Park; James MacGregor Burns Academy of Leadership Fellowship. Founder and President, University of Maryland, College Park Chapter, Habitat for Humanity International.
